Over the years I have compiled collections of readings, poems, vows and wedding formats that can be used as thought starters for couples, plus a number of unique elements that could form part of your ceremony. Also available to my wedding couples is an extensive check list of the things that you might need to consider to ensure a trouble free ceremony. If you are looking for auxiliary wedding service providers I have an extensive list of professionals that I can personally recommend, as I have seen their work and I know they provide a first class service.
My wedding fee covers
- all the meetings that we need, plus limitless email and telephone calls,
- all travel costs within a 100 km radius of the Melbourne CBD,
- developing your unique ceremony,
- a copy of your ceremony as a keep-sake,
- all the legal paperwork required by law, including your formal wedding certificate.
In addition, I contract to provide you with the ceremony that you want. Warning: I don’t do boring, and I won’t influence you to accept anything that you don’t want! I will always try to help you incorporate cultural influences that are important to you, and to pay tribute to family members who are unable to attend the ceremony.
If you wish to incorporate sand, candles or other specialist items, this will incur an additional cost. While I am happy to accommodate the style that you would like for your wedding, I draw the line at jumping out of planes, conducting ceremonies on top of high bridges and including animals or butterflies!
If you want to have your ceremony conducted in a language other than English, you must appoint a translator approved by the Attorney-General’s Department, and you will need to organise this. If you want to repeat your vows in another language, then I am happy for you to do this, but I am required to conduct the ceremony in English.
The contract that I give you when you sign me up as your Celebrant covers my obligations to you, and provides my personal guarantee of service. The contract that I ask you to sign covers your obligations to me, and provides me with all the details that I will need to help your meet the legal requirements of your marriage, and to help you design your ceremony.
I keep a wedding album just like you do – but mine is of all my bridal couples – and if you allow me to have a photograph of your wedding I would love to include it. If you would like me to include one of your wedding photos on my website, please let me have one of your choice and it will be done.
